Welcome to McCoy Mobile Home/RV Park your Oasis in the desert. We are the last town going east in California one mile this side of Yuma Az. Located on the Quechan (Kwatchan) Indian Reservation owned and operated by tribal member Patrick McCoy. Here’s where our story begins. Patrick met his wife Jonnie McCoy in Palm Springs California married in 1990 conceive their only son Patrick II in 1991 moved to Winterhaven in 1992 to raise their son. There they joined forces with Patrick’s mom and dad Robert and Alyce McCoy and began their new life to work side by side in building of this beautiful park.
Our son Patrick has been a part of our team since he was old enough to answer the phone. Now has begun working as a law enforcement officer.
Joining us for her fourth season our office manager and over all property manager is Daisy. We are so happy she has found her home here with us. We welcome Cheryl and Mike as they will be hosting our park this year.
We’re grateful and fill honored to have the experience of being in the company of Danny and Lucy, Larry, Dennis, Jackie and her husband Yaquesita (Beto) and now Roberto.
A special thanks goes out to Larry for working side by side with my husband Patrick in the summer heat.
We are just 5 minutes from the Andrade / Los Algodonas Baja California border where you can purchase alcohol, prescription medicine and non-prescription drugs, dental and medical care at a significant savings. You will find Mexican food, entertainment, pottery, jeweler, fine art and array of leather goods, wallets, clothing, fine lace table clothes and good times. Pass Card / Passport or birth certificate is strongly advised.
With the Colorado River just one mile away and many lakes within 20 minutes of here you can fish until your hearts desire. California and tribal fishing license are required if fishing on the tribal land. Welcome Dove Hunter’s. September 1st each starts Dove Season.
And for the sand people Imperial Sand Dunes, Gordon’s Well, Butter Cup are 20 minutes from Winterhaven. We welcome All Terrain Vehicles. You will have direct access to the dessert from our park for your 4×4’s.
San Diego, Palm Springs, Phoenix and Scottsdale are 3 hour drive . Yuma International Airport is 7 miles from us. Average degrees here is 78.
We offer many ammenities such as full calender of events, laundry mat, heated swimming pool 82 degrees, Jacuzzi at 104 degrees, library, free movies and new this year Prize Wheel for all kinds of different prizes to win. Friendly staff available 24/7.
Pepper’s Café within our park will also be open again this year. We will entertain breakfast and lunch menu items priced affordably. I serve only the finest food. Eating at Pepper’s is a social experience beginning in the mornings at 8 am with free freshly ground premium coffee and our local newspaper. This year our son has introduced me too Cold Brew which I will have for you. Also new is Black Bean burgers / burrito’s and specials such as healthy panni sandwiches just to name a few. They tell me I make a mean Biscuits and Gravy.
We have a great deal of winter visitors that come and stay from October-March each year. We have a 6×6 plan for those of you who wish to store their home here in your space at no additional fee. Toy haulers and ATV’s are welcome in our park and on our dirt roads.
This year with the I-8 detour you won’t miss us. Our sign is located on the North East corner of Winterhaven Drive turn there and go over the railroad tracks we are just a couple of blocks up on the right hand side, turn in on Street ‘B’ Office is located on the left next to the swimming pool and Cafe’.
Daily – Weekly – Monthly’s. Reservations are taken until December 15th, after that it’s first come first serve basis. We are extremely busy after that. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, JCB and Union Pay logo. We will honor all discount clubs including Good Sam’s Club, Passport America, RV America to name a few. Don’t forget to pick-up your FREE GIFT when you stop by our office and inquire about our park.
